The Journey

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

I was born in Castellón de la Plana, and sport became part of my life from a very early age. At just four years old, I would accompany my father to his tennis matches. I was always asking when his next match would be, simply because I could not wait to return to the court. That is where my connection with racket sports began.

MY FIRST STEPS ON COURT

At five years old, I began training at Club de Tenis Castellón. From that moment, weekends became the highlight of my week. I loved playing, training and spending time at the club, where I also formed great friendships. Even when it rained, all I wanted was the chance to be back on court.

DISCOVERING PADEL

Between the ages of nine and ten, I began playing my first padel matches with my father. What started as a fun hobby gradually became something much more important. At the time, I could not have known it, but padel was already beginning to shape the direction of my future.

CHOOSING PADEL

At 15 or 16, I made a defining decision: I stopped training in tennis and focused entirely on padel. During this period, I was fortunate to learn from leading figures such as Paula Eyheraguibel, an eight-time world champion, and Juan Romagosa, a former professional who reached world No. 6 and No. 1 in Madrid. Their influence was decisive in my development.

FROM PLAYER TO COACH

At 17, I earned my Level 1 Padel Instructor qualification from the Spanish Padel Federation. At the same time, I began teaching both tennis and padel at the Mas de Frares Sports Centre in Benicàssim and at Universitat Jaume I in Castellón. This was the true beginning of my professional path as a coach.

BUILDING MY COACHING FOUNDATIONS

In 2018, I completed the Level 2 Padel Coach qualification from the Spanish Padel Federation, becoming one of the first 20 coaches to achieve it. That same year, I joined Play Padel Indoor Castellón, where I built and structured the club’s padel academy. It was an important step from teaching individual sessions to developing a complete coaching programme.

THE BIRTH OF JT PADEL ACADEMY

I later founded JT Padel Academy, creating a project through which I managed the club’s padel school and began developing my own approach to coaching, player development and academy growth. It was more than a name: it was the first expression of the professional vision that would continue to evolve throughout my career.

THE FIRST INTERNATIONAL DOOR

My career began to open new international opportunities when I coached the president of the Swiss Padel Federation. That connection led to an invitation to attend a European padel summit in Cascais. It was a pivotal moment that expanded my understanding of the sport and introduced me to the people helping shape its international growth.

LEARNING AMONG INTERNATIONAL LEADERS

Attending the EPPA Summit in Cascais was my first real exposure to the international side of padel beyond coaching. I had the opportunity to meet presidents of European padel federations, club owners and industry professionals, exchanging ideas about the future growth of the sport. It was the moment I realised that my ambition extended beyond the court — I wanted to contribute to the development of padel internationally.

Learning among international leaders

Learning from the World's Best

During the Cascais World Padel Tour I was able to observe the world's best players at close range, analysing their training sessions, preparation and match routines. Watching players such as Fernando Belasteguín and Agustín Tapia reinforced my passion for continuous learning and confirmed the standards I wanted to bring into my own coaching philosophy.

BEYOND COACHING SESSIONS

Over the following years, I delivered training programmes for coaches and players from countries including the United States, the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Russia, Portugal, South Korea and Bahrain. I also expanded my profile through international referee training in Lisbon and by developing sports-management projects covering clubs, academies, consulting and court development, including the management of OK Padel.

Beyond coaching sessions

THE MOVE TO DUBAI

At 27, I made one of the most important moves of my career and relocated to Dubai to join Danube Sports World. I became Manager of the racket-sports area and the retail store, while also serving as Head Coach. The role allowed me to combine coaching, operations, commercial development and team leadership in a highly international environment.

LIVING PADEL FROM THE INSIDE

From Dubai, I have continued growing at the centre of international padel: attending major competitions, exchanging ideas with leaders from the industry and working closely with elite players and clubs. Highlights include meeting Rafa Nadal at a Playtomic event, welcoming leading professionals during the 2024 Dubai Premier Padel P1, and attending the World Padel Summit in Barcelona in 2025. The story continues, on and off the court.
